The very first Iowa Lions Speech Contest will focus on the Centennial of the International Association of Lions Clubs. We will highlight two of the people who most had an impact on the Lions organization. First is Melvin Jones, the founder himself and second is Helen Keller, who challenged the Lions to be "The Knights of the Blind in the fight against darkness!"
Please watch the video below to get an idea of what it might have been like to sit at the Lions' International Convention at Cedar Point, Ohio in 1925 and get inspired to help the visually impaired and all people who need help in this world.
